Report of the Inaugural session of the UGC sponsored International Education Meet
The UGC sponsored International Education Meet on ' Education for Global Excellence' was organized by Mar Theophilus Training College in collaboration with the Council for Teacher Education (CTE), Kerala, Association of International Researchers of Indian Origin (AIRIO) Inc., USA, Dr. N.P.Pillai Centennial Celebration Committee and Dr. K. Sivadasan Pillai Foundation for Educational Research and Development (SPFERD) in connection with the 26th Annual National Convention and Decennial Annual convention of CTE, Kerala at the Silver Jubilee Hall of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya in the Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar, Nalanchira, Thiruvananthapuram on 5th of January, 2012. After invocation by the chorus group of Mar Theophilus Traning College, Dr. Sr. Mercykutty, Principal, welcomed the dignitaries and delegates. His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Cathelicos, Major Arch Bishop of Trivandrum Diocese, blessed the occasion. Sri. P. K. Abdurub, Hon'ble Education Minister, Govt. of Kerala inaugurated the Meet. Dr. Dev Raj Vij, International President, CTE delivered Presidential Address. Most. Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thomas, Bishop of Bathery and President, AIRIO, released the publications which includes news letter, books etc. at the occasion.
The felicitation speeches were given by Dr. S.D. Singh, National Co-ordinator, CTE and Sri Thalekkunnil Basheer, Former MP and PTA representative of Mar Theophilus Training College. Dr. C.P. Sreekantan Nair, Chairman, CTE, Kerala, extended Vote of Thanks.
Memorial Lecture on Dr. N. P. Pillai
The Memorial Lecture on Dr. N.P.Pillai was delivered by Dr.V. Sukumaran Nair, Former Professor & Head of Political Sciences, M.S.M. College, Kayamkulam at the Decennial Annual Convention of CTE, Kerala State Centre and International Education Meet organized at Mar Theophilus Training College from 5th-7th, January, 2012.
